Watercolor

I fell in love with watercolors this summer while visiting the charming town of Assisi, Italy, home of St Francis. While there, I stumbled upon A. Gallo, a store with exquisite, handmade watercolor paints made from natural pigments, honey, gum Arabic, and essential oils. I was fascinated by the smooth, sensual quality of the colors, and I knew I had to try them. I also knew I had to learn how to make my own watercolor paints, so I started using pigment powders from my pigment collection at home. I focus on semi-precious minerals such as rare Lapis Lazuli, Vivianite, Malachite, Azurite, Chrysacholla, and rare ochres from the earth to create ethereal and unique colors.

My watercolor paintings are done on archival high-quality paper, each framed with an acid-free mat. To make things easier for my customers, I try to use common, easy-to-find sizes to make purchasing a frame for your artwork easy. It's important to me that your art looks beautiful and remains in top condition for years to come.
