Sacred Button 6x6

A tiny Peyote button in bloom. This desert dweller grows in Mexico and southern parts of the US and is sometimes used in sacred ceremonies by indigenous peoples. Painted with rare mineral watercolors and enhanced with 23.5 karat gold leaf, this small work comes matted in an archival mat, bringing the total dimension to 8x8, and is ready to frame.
